Well, our anniversary is coming up the end op April and we have been thinking how to spend the time without breaking the budget. I think we have planned a camping trip on our piece of land that we are building on however, it is raining, hailing and snowing like crazy the last few days so I don't know if that will be such a great choice.
I had a handful of preschoolers coming in to try to get into the school for next year. We have a lottery that we do for the Charter School. I am going to have 22 students next year. 19 of the students already get in because of a sibling then we will have 3 that will be on a lottery program. This will be interesting to see who will be piceked since their are 15 other students that want a slot.
I am excited for the summer. I feel pretty exhausted. I was planning on taking Friday off for our anniversary but I think that I will forgo that and plan a day that will be warmer and possible right after a paycheck will be nice also. It is expensive to build a home and our tax money hasn't arrived yet so we are having to be patient.

Easter already?
It seems crazy that Easter is tomorrow. Before we left California we usually had a big Easter party with Charlie's family now I am running through Smith's last minute to try and find eggs and dye. Life gets so busy. I am grateful that we are heading over to a friends tomorrow to celebrate after church gets over. I think that it will be nice to celebrate the meaning of Easter with friends. Hopefully it won't be lightening and raining like it was predicting on the new. I am hopeful though, I even bought some marshmallows to roast over the fire pit. We shall see...Ang

Rain
We have been getting tons of rain! I love hearing it on the roof of our trailer it reminds me of the time that me and my husband were newlyweds and listening to it as we held each other on the roof of an old single-wide that he owned in Prundale, California.
The students were in for recess today and guess who was the lucky one to have recess today. Yours truly, they were wound up and having some difficulties listening. I think that they really needed that recess time.
We were planning on taking a field trip to the park, however, with the weather like it is right now it probably will be canceled. Anyways, more later.

Grades....
There are things that I like and dislike about doing grades. First, I think grades are so subjective and because of that I think that they can be misconstrued. Second, I get the chance to really look over the students portfolio and find holes that I may have missed in their learning. So, I guess it is a love hate relationship that I will just have to get use to.
The charter school along with the district is having a pay reduction due to the economy. It is a real bummer being a first year teacher and having to see the pay being reduced even more. I am hoping with the extra work I am taking on with the special education that I will balance out or maybe have a little increase. We shall see???
Well, since I didn't get done with my lesson plans for the week I am getting up extra early and working on them. So, I am looking from my computer screen back to my pillow and then to my computer screen and thinking good-night and farewell till next time.

Little League
It was neat to see C.J. again tonight playing baseball. The wind was subtle and the grass was dry. A perfect moment to sit down watch C.J. and cuddle up with Caden on my lap. However, to top off that moment I got to see my husband and his father helping the team throw and bat. So, we had three generations playing ball together in a picture perfect moment. It was beautiful!

Back to School
Well, we are back to school after spring break. We had two teachers out today. One teacher went to Mexico on spring break and her and her husband got something while they were down there.
My mom being a travel agent gets these great deal and she has headed to Hawaii on a cruise ship that left out of San Deiego. It is a little lonely with out grandma around. This year has been so busy for both of us even though we live on the same property. We try to catch up on the weekends but we still seem to be passing bye.
C.J.'s first baseball game was today. It was just warm enough that it was very enjoyable to be out there on the field. I got back from exercising to release my husband so that he could get to his online class. I had a few minutes to watch him throw to the kids. It was neat to see him in his element. The year before last he was in Alaska and I was talking C.J. to baseball by myself. It wasn't the same. Then Caden our 3 year old felt left out so I started throwing the ball and he would light up every time it fell in his mitt. It is times like these that I live for. I love being a mom!!!

Uncovering new ground
Well, my husband and my father in-law are uncovering new ground as they level out the pad that will rest our new home. It is a neat treat to be able to look over the land and envision where everything will go and dream of how were are going to build everything. We probably won't be out there this year but hopefully next year for sure. Our friends stopped by and paid us a friendly visit. It was really nice to be able to talk to them while watching grandpa on the tractor.
I'm going to be back in the swing of things tomorrow. Spring break is over and two more months of school. I think that this summer will be busy even though I don't really want it to be. Some of our projects are: building our home, possible summer contract as a summer teacher, pct trail hike, family reunion, I want to go to a conference in July for Kindergarten teachers, I also have a 3 credit 4 week class and a praxis 0300 exam I'm taking. So, I believe it will be a busy summer.
It was really neat to spend some of the spring break at Gena's. I am glad to be home though and me and Charlie got to have some nice time together over the weekend. So, more later hopefully as life will surely get busier.

Spring Break for Elko Charter School
We are on our spring break this week. It is nice to be able to sleep in and relax with my family.
My sister came up from Wyoming at the beginning of the week. She and her husband have been having some marital and family issues. She has been getting her cup refilled so that she can take care of the things that she needs to address.
It has been difficult talking to her. It seems like she was me 10 years ago in my first marriage. All of my bells and whistles are ringing and it brings me back to my days with my x. I feel like I can say, "Well, this is what I did and how I felt". But, on the other hand she has different circumstances like children that are involved and luckily that wasn't my situation with my x-husband. She has her plate full.
Charlie has gone up to get more of the items from the move that was being stored in Lewiston. He is excited about finishing his 1957 GMC Truck. He is restoring the truck for me and I will be selling my car. I figured that if we are going to be moving out to Elburz that does not have road maintenance I will need a 4x4 truck.
So, as my husband was traveling up he dropped me off at my sister Gena's house in Boise. All three sisters are here relaxing and enjoying the break. Gena's spring break was last week but, she has a job that is flexible and she mostly works on weekends for on call with her social work job. So we have been playing games and enjoying the company.
The cousins have really enjoyed being together. I just got my son Caden (3 years) and my sisters daughter Alyssa (3 years) to take a nap by reading them some stories. The stories that I am reading them are the ones that I have brought up for my Mexican unit that I am putting together for my Kindergarten class. I have so many ideas it is hard to put them all together and streamline them. But, implementing the ideas and seeing the students light up and learn is the best part of the job...
