Road Closed

Well the weekend trip to San Fransisco for a teachers conference fizzled out as we were making our voyage their and got held up at Donor's Pass right outside of Reno. It was really enjoyable though we stayed Thursday night at Circus Circus hoping that the pass would clear up. That morning we had a great breakfast and went shopping at the mall. I hadn't been shopping in a long time so it was a chance to spice up my ward robe (especially after losing 11lbs) and getting a mitt and cleats for my sons baseball team.

I enjoyed the time I got to get to know the two other teachers I was on the trip with. We are so different however, we were really bonded by our differences during this trip.

Today was nice! We played hooky from church and enjoyed some family time on our property out in Elbuz. We were putting in posts for the property line. Talking about where the house was going to be and what we were going to start accomplishing first. My sister came down tonight also. She is my younger sister and is going through a rough time. I worry about her and her family. She has a hard time taking care of her like our mother did growing up. My mom worked a lot and we never really got to see her take care of herself. I think my sister models many of those traits and is finally seeing that she needs to take care of herself. She also just got out of her in laws house which was extremely toxic. So, this is her time to find some balance and my mom is great at helping with that. My mom has come a long way at finding peace and purpose. She is happy and full of energy and vitality. I am way closer to her know than I ever was growing up. It is neat to see how relationships in life change, grow, become estranged and everything in between. It is also neat to see our journey though life and the lessons that we learned looking back through life. Life is beautiful!

  1. It is great when you look back although it can be a #%$@ when you in the midst of it. Great that your sister has you and your mom!
